The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County is launching a campaign to attract businesses looking to leave New York City.
A series of billboards are being unveiled in Times Square, featuring a message: “Dear NYC, it’s not you. It’s me.”
The goal is to encourage New York executives to consider relocating to what is now being dubbed “Wall Street South” in the Palm Beaches.
Beyond the billboard campaign, BDB said that they are taking additional steps to reach potential relocators.
They have already sent out relocation packets to executives and shared merchandise with influential figures in New York’s business community.
Additionally, an outreach trip to New York City is scheduled for next month to further promote the benefits of moving to Palm Beach County.
In a related effort, the City of Boca Raton is pursuing a similar strategy, encouraging businesses that may be discontent with the recent election of Mayor Zohran Mamdani to consider relocating to the area.
With these initiatives, Palm Beach County is positioning itself as an attractive alternative for businesses looking to exit the hustle and bustle of New York City.
