Instrumentum Continues To Grow In Boca Raton

June 6, 2024 – Boca Raton, FL – The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) is pleased to announce the continued growth of Instrumentum, a sterilization company for medical devices and instruments. The company plans to add 30 new jobs after selecting the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University located at 3701 FAU Blvd, Suite 100. The 10,000 sq. ft. facility continues to add high-tech equipment to ensure state-of-the-art sterilization procedures.

With current partnerships in place with Florida Atlantic University, the Business Development Board continued to assist the company’s growth through introductions with CareerSource Palm Beach County to support its ongoing hiring initiatives. Additionally, it established connections with Florida Power & Light to explore utility cost-saving opportunities and facilitated collaboration with Palm Beach State College.

With an investment exceeding $3,000,000the company continues to hire Sterilization Technicians, Production Coordinators, Quality and Operations roles.

Due to the overwhelming response to Instrumentum’s offering, the company recently completed an additional capital investment of over $600,000 to increase capacity and is now in contract discussions with local hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers to begin sterilizing surgical instruments in Palm Beach County this summer.

“We are extremely pleased with the response from the Palm Beach County healthcare community and look forward to building long-term partnerships and growing our team. We are grateful for the support we’ve received from FAU and the Palm Beach County’s Business Development Board and anticipate several exciting projects in the near future,” said Peter Durand, COO.

Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO of the Business Development Board stated that Instrumentum’s growth is a testament to transformation of Palm Beach County’s economy, with three new top sectors, replacing agriculture, construction and tourism. A recent study concluded that Health Care / Life Sciences was the number 1 sector in terms of jobs, employing 100,000 people. Instrumentum serves all aspects of this sector from surgery centers and hospitals to medical device facilities. The Research Park at Florida Atlantic University serves as the prime location for top-notch companies with world-changing innovations, and is the perfect place for Instrumentum.
