October 23, 2025 – Palm Beach County, FL — In an unprecedented collaboration, CEOs from every major hospital in Palm Beach County have come together for a transformative new tool that is set to become a national model: the Palm Beach County Healthcare Asset Map.
BDB Launches Healthcare Asset Map in Palm Beach County
Launched by the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, this interactive map provides a clear snapshot of the region’s healthcare landscape. Users can explore hospital locations, specialties, services, and national recognitions across the county. Designed for both professionals and residents, the tool also serves as a powerful marketing asset—showcasing Palm Beach County’s thriving healthcare sector to attract executives, companies, and talent.
This initial launch marks Phase 1 of the broader initiative, focusing on existing hospitals. Future phases will expand the map to include specialty healthcare facilities and hospitals currently under construction, ensuring the tool evolves in step with the county’s rapidly growing healthcare landscape.

Mapping Hospitals and Medical Resources
The project unites a diverse coalition of leading healthcare providers, including Alan B. Miller Medical Center, Bethesda Hospital East, Bethesda Hospital West, Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, HCA JFK Hospital, HCA JFK North Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), Jupiter Medical Center, Kindred Hospital, Lakeside Medical Center, Nicklaus Children’s Health, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Select Specialty Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Tampa General Hospital, the VA Center, Wellington Regional Medical Center, and West Boca Medical Center.
Chaired by BDB Executive Committee Board Member Gina Melby, the Healthcare Asset Map was developed in partnership with Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Key contributions came from FAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Sudhagar Nagarajan, with support from President Adam Hasner, Executive Vice President Stacy Volnick, and outstanding work by undergraduate student Andrew Hurst.
Supporting Local Healthcare and Economic Development
The launch is timely: Palm Beach County is home to over 6,000 healthcare companies, employing more than 71,000 people with an average salary close to $90,000. Combined, the healthcare and life sciences industries make up the county’s largest employment sector, supporting around 100,000 jobs.
“The creation of this tool was driven by the outdated perception that residents needed to travel elsewhere for exceptional healthcare,” noted Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO of the Business Development Board. “Palm Beach County now offers world-class care right here at home.”
How to Access and Use the Healthcare Asset Map
As Palm Beach County experiences record population growth and an influx of new residents, the Healthcare Asset Map is designed to serve both newcomers and longtime residents. By providing a clear, accessible view of the county’s healthcare infrastructure, the tool will help people connect with care and drive continued investment in one of the region’s most vital industries.
