
The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County welcomed BDB members, elected officials, sponsors, and Board Members for the BDB Economic Development Luncheon, a program focused on the vision, growth, and future plans of major industry leaders helping shape the regional economy.
The luncheon also featured a special economic development overview of The Palm Beaches presented by Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County.
Industry Leaders Share Growth and Future Plans
The program brought together executives representing aerospace, financial technology, healthcare innovation, defense technology, and banking.
Pratt & Whitney, represented by Mary Anne Cannon, is a global aerospace leader known for the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. The company’s presence reflects the strength of Palm Beach County’s aviation, aerospace, and engineering sectors.
Voloridge Health, represented by Barry Miller, applies data science to healthcare with a focus on improving health assessments, outcomes, and longevity. Its work reflects the growing connection between technology, data, and life sciences in The Palm Beaches.
Voloridge Investment Management, LLC, also represented by Barry Miller, brings together science, technology, and financial markets through a collaborative investment management approach. The company is part of the region’s expanding finance and technology ecosystem.
Blue Ops – A Red Cat Company, represented by Alexander “Sandy” Spaulding, is focused on uncrewed systems and advanced defense technology. As part of Red Cat’s platform, Blue Ops reflects the growing role of next-generation technology companies in Palm Beach County.
The discussion was moderated by Fabiola Brumley of Bank of America, one of the world’s leading financial institutions serving consumers, businesses, corporations, and institutions.
A Regional Economic Development Overview
In addition to the panel discussion, Kelly Smallridge provided attendees with an economic development overview of The Palm Beaches, highlighting the region’s continued growth and the opportunities ahead.
The program also included remarks from BDB Chairman J. Michael Prince, who helped guide the afternoon’s discussion and welcomed the business leaders in attendance.
