AMPERA Opens Worldwide Headquarters in the Palm Beaches

​​Today, AMPERA opened the doors to its 100,000 sq. ft. headquarters where guests were met with full-scale reactor unit prototypes on display. The grand opening was hosted in partnership with the Business Development Board of the Palm Beaches, PGA Corridor Association and Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.

AMPERA is developing energy-dense, ultra-safe, rapidly deployable units that use thorium and never need to be refueled over their operational life. Located in the Gardens Innovation Center at PGA National Commerce Park in Palm Beach Gardens, AMPERA is operating from two buildings that are envisioned to total nearly 100,000 square feet and comprise of research & development, engineering, proprietary additive manufacturing, assembly operations, plus administration and back-office functions.

Founder and CEO Brian Matthews shared its clean energy vision with more than 150 community leaders, elected officials and employees at the new world headquarters.

With the growth of AI and continued constraints on power supply, AMPERA is developing a reliable, safe, low-cost solution that can effectively change the energy landscape right here in the Palm Beaches.

The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) serves as the county’s official public/private economic development organization. Established in 1982, the BDB is dedicated to attracting and retaining industries, fostering business investments, creating high-quality jobs, and supporting workforce development through corporate relocations, expansions, and international trade initiatives. Over the past five years, the BDB has supported more than 140 companies, contributing to the creation or retention of over 13,110 direct jobs with average salaries exceeding $80,000 per year. These efforts have driven more than $1.12 billion in capital investments into Palm Beach County.
